Igor and Dmitry Bukhman, legendary entrepreneur brothers and creators of the Playrix company, known for their success in the world of video games, explored the Astana Hub ecosystem.

Igor and Dmitry Bukhman, the legendary entrepreneurial brothers and creators of Playrix, began their journey in the field of video games in the 90s with a passion for gaming and programming. They were educated at Vologda State University, where they studied mathematics and system programming. In 2004, they founded Playrix and started developing games. Their first game, Discovera, earned them their first $60 in the first month of sales. They haven't stopped since, releasing many successful games, including Gardenscapes and Homescapes. In 2022, Forbes estimated the company's annual revenue at around $2.5 billion.

Today, Playrix is one of the leading companies in the world of mobile games, with more than 3,000 employees worldwide, 300 of whom are based in Kazakhstan as residents of the Astana Hub.

Magzhan Madiev, CEO of Astana Hub, gave the Bukhman brothers a tour of the technology park, highlighting key achievements and development prospects, particularly in terms of exports and attracting investments.

The guests also got acquainted with a number of promising startups and the GameDev Center, one of the priority technology centers at Astana Hub. The goal of the GameDev Center is to develop the gaming ecosystem in Kazakhstan in partnership with large gaming companies such as Playrix, Mytona, and G5 Games. The center currently hosts five indie teams developing mobile games and conducts training events and research into new technologies.
