Results of the first school startup incubator Teenpreneurs summed up

For 3.5 months, more than 200 students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School from 15 cities of the republic were trained in the basics of entrepreneurship as part of the Teenpreneurs school incubator from the capital's technopark Astana Hub. On June 4, Aktau hosted the final of the program - Demo Day, where 15 best teams presented their projects to an expert jury.

The event was held as part of the Caspian Startup&Demo Day 2022. At the end of the program, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO and the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT Startups signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Also among the organizers is the school startup club NIS Valley.

Young niche students took courses on entrepreneurial skills at Startup School and learned how to create prototypes at No Code School. Both courses are free educational programs of the technology park. After selection for the program, more than 40 teams were formed, 37 of which went through traction sessions from experts, startuppers, certified trackers and mentors in the field of technology entrepreneurship. 33 teams submitted their applications for participation in Demo Day, and only 15 projects were admitted to the final pitching. However, before speaking to the jury, the finalists went through 3-day offline sessions.

The commission included specially invited potential investors: eventum.one CEO Nikita Sinkov and iOne.education CEO Maksat Irisbekov, as well as active members of the IT community: Maktalbek Seiduali, director of the HR office at Divergent HRD, Magzhan Tegisov, CTO of the international startup AlertMe, and co-founder startup QFit Sanjar Bazilzhanov.

The first place was taken by the WEST team from the NIS FMN, Uralsk, with the L7RK NFT alarm clock project. The winners plan to try their hand further and participate in the BlockChain Battle from Astana Hub.

Second place went to the Colight team. Schoolchildren have developed a pocket medical assistant - a social network for PhyDoc doctors.
