Prime Minister Instructs Implementation of CodiPlay Project in Kazakh Schools

A resident of Astana Hub, the Kazakh startup CodiPlay, specializing in innovative solutions in the field of education, was acknowledged by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov. He instructed the Ministry of Education, together with local executive bodies, to implement CodiPlay developments in schools across Kazakhstan. The project, already operational in educational institutions in Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, will now help develop digital skills for Kazakh schoolchildren.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan visited the technology park at NU University, where the heads of scientific projects presented achievements in the commercialization and promotion of developments. The CodiPlay project received the highest score on the TRL scale.

Olzhas Bektenov emphasized the Government's support for innovative projects that contribute to economic development and improve the quality of life. It should be noted that the startup receives comprehensive support from MDDIAI as part of its residency at Astana Hub and has been funded under the Seed Money program.

CodiPlay already covers more than 450 educational institutions in 10 countries, including the UK, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. By the end of 2024, 10 educational institutions in the Turkestan region will connect to the CodiPlay ecosystem, and by 2025, this practice is expected to expand to an additional 60 schools, including institutions in the Aktobe and Karaganda regions.

“We are grateful for this high recognition. The introduction of CodiPlay in Kazakhstani schools will significantly improve the quality of education and prepare our students for the challenges of the digital world,” said CodiPlay project manager Zhanadil Taldybayev. “Our goal is to provide children not only with knowledge but also with skills that will help them successfully compete on the international stage.”

The project has received approval from the I. Altynsarin National Academy of Education, and one of the company's products, Coditeach, has been recognized by UNICEF as a Digital Public Good, offering additional opportunities for entry into international markets.

The launch of CodiPlay in Kazakhstan's schools represents a significant step forward in education, equipping schoolchildren with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to the digital world. Programs like these enable students to not only learn the material but also apply it in practice, creating a competitive educational environment in the country.
