Astana Hub resident attracted $260 thousand investments with an estimate of $1.3 million

The Kazakh startup Sagi attracted 260 thousand dollars of investments with an estimate of 1.3 million dollars from private investors. The founder of the chain of coffee shops and cakes "Hani" Nariman Shakubayev and entrepreneur Yerzhan Almukhamedov invested in the project.

According to the head and founder of Sagi startup Zhaksylyk Yeselbayev, the funds raised from the investments will be used for further development and scaling of the product across Kazakhstan.

Sagi is a mobile application with which a user can send a digital gift or a gift certificate in one click. According to Zhaksylyk Yeselbayev, the idea of creating this product came to him during quarantine, when entrepreneurs had to close down and suffer losses, and consumers refused to buy some goods and services. The startup's solution will allow businesses to earn 24/7 online.

To use the application, the user needs to link the card. Facebook Instagramm, Instagramm, Tinder, etc.) or digital gifts and gift certificates of different brands can be sent via messengers (Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, etc.) or inside the application. Gifts can also be given while remaining incognito (anonymous). In addition, users of the application can view a list of desired gifts from friends and acquaintances. Built-in push notifications can remind you of important dates (birthdays, wedding anniversaries). Now the company is negotiating with new partners to fill the assortment of its online store.
It should be noted that Sagi is a participant of the international technopark of IT startups Astana Hub. All participants of the technopark receive tax preferences. Preferences exempt participants from paying taxes such as CPN, VAT, VAT on imports of goods, royalty tax, IPN and social tax for non-residents. Such a measure of state support allows IT companies to reinvest the saved funds in the development of their projects.
