Tomorrow School: Launch of the Kazakhstan’s First Artificial Intelligence School
In alignment with the President of Kazakhstan’s initiative to advance artificial intelligence and digitalization, the international tech park Astana Hub is launching Tomorrow School, Kazakhstan's first dedicated artificial intelligence school. This project is a component of the forthcoming National Center for Artificial Intelligence, set to open in 2025 for schoolchildren, students, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
Tomorrow School is a pioneering AI school utilizing an innovative peer-to-peer learning model on the 01 Edu platform, developed by renowned educational innovator Nicolas Sadirac. The program emphasizes hands-on interaction and develops programming skills from the ground up. Notably, over 90% of graduates from similar programs worldwide secure employment, underscoring the effectiveness of this approach.
Key features of Tomorrow School’s program include:
- No traditional teachers or lectures: Learning is facilitated through peer collaboration and teamwork.
- Free participation in person at Astana Hub in Astana.
- Flexible 24/7 operation: Students set their schedules.
- No prior programming experience is required.
The selection process involves two online games that test candidates’ logical thinking, followed by an in-person introductory phase known as the “pool.” The first pool, from October 21 to November 17, will immerse participants in programming basics and help gauge their readiness for further training.
After completing the pool, participants will proceed to the main 18-month program, during which they will complete over 50 projects and master more than 20 programming languages, including Golang, Rust, JavaScript, and Python. Toward the end, students can specialize in one of the following areas: AI engineering, software development, full-stack development, mobile app development, DevOps engineering, IT systems architecture, cybersecurity, or video game development. Top-performing students from outside the city will be provided with free accommodation during their main studies.
