The top 20 IT startups from OTS countries will receive a grant to study in Silicon Valley
An International Technopark for IT startups Astana Hub presents an opportunity for the best technology startups of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) countries to scale their project to the global market, including the U.S. market. For this purpose, Astana Hub signed an agreement with Draper University, under which 20 promising startups will undergo an intensive Hero Training acceleration program in Silicon Valley.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Astana Hub CEO Magzhan Madiyev and President of Draper University Asra Nadeem on March 10, 2023, in San Mateo (California). It occurred during the official visit of Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, to the USA.

At the same time, we intend to provide our startups access to the world's best practices. Draper University, located in Silicon Valley, has already become a catalyst of success for many young IT companies. It combines resources, capital, and international experts uniquely, allowing startups to develop rapidly. I am confident that our cooperation will enable program participants to take their businesses to the next level and succeed in the competitive world of entrepreneurship on a global scale," said Minister Bagdat Mussin.
The program consists of the following steps:
- The top 80 projects will gain access to a 2-week online program on product development and scaling, as well as the principles of attracting investment from international venture capital funds;
- The Top 20 startups will be selected to undergo a 5-week intensive acceleration program at Draper University in Silicon Valley, with accommodations and workspace provided for up to 6 months to attract investment and enter the US market under the guidance of experienced technology entrepreneurs and Draper ecosystem experts.
