Digitalization of SMEs: BEKSAR Presents an Affordable POS Solution

Kazakhstan's startup BEKSAR, a participant in Astana Hub, has launched its own POS device for inventory control. This new solution aims to ease the financial burden on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) while accelerating the adoption of modern technologies in the daily operations of retail stores.

BEKSAR is the only company in the CIS region offering this model, according to the company's CEO. With this POS device, entrepreneurs can avoid investing in expensive equipment and instead focus on growing their business.

"Our mission is to make technological innovations accessible to every entrepreneur. By renting POS devices without requiring upfront investments, we aim to streamline the digitalization process for traditional retailers across various product categories. This solution is designed to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs through intelligent automation," said Maksat Bektibayev, CEO at BEKSAR.

Founded in 2021, BEKSAR is a Kazakhstani startup specializing in software development for retail automation and business management. The project helps entrepreneurs manage sales and inventory efficiently, serving over 3,000 retail outlets across Kazakhstan. Earlier this year, the startup was valued at $4.8 million and secured $305,000 in investments. BEKSAR is currently participating in the Silkway Accelerator program by Astana Hub and Google for Startups, and recently won €10,000 and a trip to Barcelona in the Glovo Startup Competition.
