Astana Hub presented 11 IT startups that improve healthcare

At the fourth Pitch Day organized by the Ministry of Health together with Astana Akimat and Astana Hub, Startups presented projects for the healthcare industry.


"I am glad that so many startups present themselves for healthcare. It means that the IT market is interested in our industry. I am ready to provide further assistance in cooperation", - Beibut Yesenbayev, Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened the event.

The event was held in a hybrid format - offline and online. Among the projects were startups for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease, an app to support pregnant women, bio-location vision technology for the blind, an online medical consultation service, and others.

"One of the objectives of our project - to make child-maternal expertise manageable, and to build women's commitment to healthy lifestyles and improve literacy among women of reproductive age", - explained Nonna Bortsvadze, Project Manager of the Supermom Academy for Pregnant Women and Mothers of Children up to One Year of Age.

Project developers have also expressed a desire to contribute to the development of healthcare:

"Immunity capital.KZ" is a technology for the mass determination of the immune status of a person;

Integration of 1C and Damumed - a system on medications and medical devices;

MIS Avicenna is a solution for the automation of medical activities for organizations of any type, scale, and form of ownership;

Sapa Telemed - telemetric 12-channel electrocardiographs with online decoding and integration into Damumed;

SMART-RIS is a radiological information system, a tool for the digitalization of MI diagnostic business processes;

MyMind - a test to determine the signs and early stages of dementia (Alzheimer's disease); 

Sezual – bio-location vision technology for the blind; 

Aqyl - development of interactive panels; 

Dariger online - online medical consultation service; 

MedData.ai - a system for online clinic management of the patients treatment.

The potential of the startups was evaluated by: Beibut Yesenbayev, Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Berik Akhmetov, Deputy Head of the Department of Digitalization and Public Services of Astana; Yersultan Yermanov, Director of the Department of IT Industry Development of the MDDIAI of the RK; Medet Kulumgariyev, Deputy Director of the Department of IT Industry Development of the MDDIAI of the RK; Nursultan Kaldybaev, Chairman of the Board of Astana Innovations JSC.

After the fourth Pitch Day stream, the startups will continue their cooperation with Astana Akimat and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health in working order. 

As a reminder, the capital Akimat and Astana Hub announced a search for IT solutions, allowing startups to propose their ideas to Akimat and contribute to the city's development. Therefore, startups could exhibit their initiatives within the Pitch Day framework in front of the Akimat and contribute to the city's development. In addition, participants had an opportunity to network, share feedback, and collaborate with city structures and other startups. After Pitch Day, each participant will be invited to a meeting with representatives of the Digitalization Department to continue working on project development.
