Eight startups from Astana Hub showcased their projects to foreign investors

The FIC, held in Astana, focused on the vital theme of "Digital Transformation of the Economy," and featured a unique thematic IT exhibition organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, highlighting Kazakhstani IT companies. 35th Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC), presided over by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan.


"The interest in our region as a digital hub continues to grow daily. Kazakhstani startups have been successfully competing and expanding in international markets for several years, with many IT companies demonstrating substantial export potential, which was showcased to prospective investors at the exhibition," remarked Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry.

The event presented 49 innovative solutions from Kazakhstani IT companies and government organizations.

"Astana Hub presented eight startups that are promising projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, EdTech, cybersecurity, business process optimization/automation, and some have already penetrated international markets," stated Alina Abdrakhmanova, Managing Director of Astana Hub.

According to her, the meeting between representatives of our country's startup industry and members of the Foreign Investors Council provides an excellent opportunity for partnership and collaboration with global companies, fostering the ecosystem.

"Our startup, Neuron Oil, offers a web-based oil field development simulator that enables efficient management and increases the oil recovery factor by 70%, while reducing development costs by up to 40%. Our objective is to attract smart investors who possess industry expertise and secure $1.3 million," shared Asylan Zhumagaliev, founder of Neuron Oil.

It is worth noting that around the world, approximately 3-4 young companies, including those in the United States (Silicon Valley), France, the UAE, and others, are integrating new approaches to interwell numerical modeling with machine learning. Among CIS countries, Neuron Oil leads in applying these new methods and achieving exceptionally high practical results.

Astana Hub also presented the following projects:

  • Cerebra: Software for automated stroke diagnosis based on machine learning.
  • GoatChat: A platform for conversing with artificial intelligence.
  • Black Ice AI: Extracts data from various sources to identify cybercriminals engaged in money laundering.
  • Sergek Group: An intelligent video surveillance, analysis, and prediction system that detects traffic violations on roads and streets.
  • Med 365: An automated medical examination system enabling pre-shift/post-shift examinations at the customer's premises.
  • Daitan: Specializes in the digital transformation of production processes for major industrial enterprises in the HSE sector.
  • ROQED: A leading company in the modernization of educational and work instructions through educational materials.

The Foreign Investors Council (FIC) is an advisory body chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, established in 1998 to facilitate direct dialogue between the Government of Kazakhstan and foreign investors, ensuring effective resolution of issues related to their investment activities in the country and improving the investment climate in the Republic.

Astana Hub, the largest international technopark in Central Asia, provides an environment conducive to the unrestricted growth of Kazakhstani and foreign technology companies. Currently, the technopark boasts over a thousand participants, with Astana Hub residents having created over 14,000 jobs. Educational programs at the technopark have trained approximately 20,000 individuals, while more than 2,000 have benefited from incubation and acceleration programs.
