ChatGPT will get a home screen widget for Android

Expert Mishaal Rahman noted that ChatGPT may soon receive a home screen widget for Android. This will provide faster access to conversation modes and requests to the OpenAI chatbot.

To try out the option, you need to press and hold an empty space on the main screen of your Android smartphone. This action will open the widget menu. So far, this update is being tested in the beta version of the application 1.2024.052.

Earlier, Rahman discovered developments in the OpenAI code on the possible replacement of the default Google Assistant on Android smartphones with ChatGPT. Users will be able to launch ChatGPT from any screen using a gesture or voice command on Android smartphones without having to use the chatbot client.
