Govtech Meet-up: A Look at the future of Government technologies

On November 6, an exciting meeting-up was held in Almaty, organized by the QAZAQ IT community and Geek partners, dedicated to the topic of Govtech. During the event, traveling experts shared their knowledge and experience in the field of government technologies. The first speaker was Ruslan Tleukeev, co-founder of GeekPartners LTD. In his presentation on “Government to Business”, he spoke about the importance of interaction between government and business. Ruslan stressed that effective cooperation can significantly improve the quality of services provided and speed up processes. He also shared successful cases from his practice, demonstrating how innovative solutions in collaboration with government services can be implemented in business.

The next speaker was Aigul Amirkhanova, Head of Analytics and Development at the NAO “The State Corporation is a government for citizens.” Her report was devoted to the automation of public transport services. Aigul spoke about current projects, achievements and challenges that they have overcome while working on digitalization in car dealerships. She noted that automation allows not only to increase the efficiency of government agencies, but also to improve the quality of service to citizens.

Irali Diaz, an expert in the field of Govtech and corporate ecosystems, concluded the series of speeches. His presentation “Govtech and Corporate Ecosystems” was dedicated to the integration of government technologies into corporate structures. Irali stressed that creating ecosystems where public and private companies work closely together can lead to significant improvements in management and service delivery.

The audience actively participated in the discussions, asking questions about the implementation of biometrics and further prospects for the development of this service, about growth drivers and motivation for stakeholders in the development of Govtech. There were questions about the possibility of obtaining access to government databases, about integrations with databases to improve public services, as well as prospects for the development of technologies in this area. The speakers noted that biometrics is one of the key areas that can significantly improve the security and convenience of citizens' interaction with government systems. The main drivers of development were also discussed Govtech, such as digitalization, innovation and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
