New Horizons in AI: How Knowledge Distillation is changing data processing

Evotech is enthusiastically following breakthrough technologies in natural language processing (NLP), because each new discovery brings us closer to the future, where AI will become not just a tool, but a real human assistant. A recent study has shown striking results, confirming that innovative approaches can significantly improve the effectiveness of language models.

The TKD-NLP model impressed with its capabilities, achieving 98.32% accuracy and 97.14% F1-metrics based on the GLUE dataset. For comparison, T-NLP, based only on Transformer, showed 94.48% Accuracy and 93.89% F1, and KD-NLP, which uses exclusively knowledge distillation technology, is 90.26% Accuracy and 92.14% F1. These figures speak for themselves: the combination of Transformer's powerful architecture and intelligent knowledge distillation opens up new horizons in the development of AI.

But what makes this approach really revolutionary? An analysis of experiments has shown that TKD-NLP not only surpasses its predecessors, but also demonstrates how effectively different learning methods can be combined. Transformer is a powerful tool for processing complex language dependencies, and knowledge distillation plays the role of a mentor, helping the model better understand and refine the boundaries of solutions. This symbiosis allows not only to increase accuracy, but also to make models more compact, faster and more efficient.

The graph shows how significant the performance differences are between TKD-NLP, T-NLP, and KD-NLP.

We are always following the latest developments in the field of AI and are happy to share interesting discoveries that inspire us to further improve.
