• Work experience of more than 2 years as a QA Manual Engineer, preferably in the field of e-commerce or IT technologies for travel.
• Professional knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, including API (Postman), SQL, and browser developer tools.

Basic requirements

Necessarily:

• Java and Spring Boot. We need real practical experience, preferably with production projects, and not just educational tasks.
• PostgreSQL and SQL. Confident queries, understanding indexes, transactions, and data integrity.
• REST API. The ability to properly design and implement backend endpoints.
• Git. Daily work with branches, commits, merge request and everything related to it.
• The ability to understand the existing production code. We have a lot of legacies, so it's important not only to be able to write code from scratch, but also to calmly log into someone else's codebase, find the cause of the problem, and carefully make changes.
• Understanding the backend architecture. Application layers, transaction boundaries, idempotence, error handling, working with business logic.
• Willingness to write tests for critical business logic.
• The ability to use AI tools in development. Not just copying the finished code, but being able to set a task properly, parse the result, check it, and use AI as a tool to speed up development, find problems, and work with a large amount of existing code.

That would be a plus

• Docker. Understanding containerization and the local/dev environment.
• Kubernetes. A basic understanding of how services are deployed and work in k8s.
• Experience integrating with external APIs. Retry, rate limit, timeouts, partial failures, and other real integration issues.
• RabbitMQ and Redis. Understanding queues, asynchronous events, and caching.

What we do not require at the entrance

Also, experience with our entire stack or deep frontend expertise is not required. The main focus of the position is backend in Java and Spring Boot.

What is more important is a normal engineering base, the ability to understand the existing system and independently bring tasks to results.

• Strong knowledge of analog (low-voltage) and digital electronics.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar.
