“Huge thanks to the organizers and Kazakhtelecom for the well-structured format. We managed to squeeze 56 hours of focused, sleepless work out of the deadline. The result was a project that not only streamed real-time video from a drone via an RTMP server, but also included a full-fledged flight control platform,” said Daniyal Kerimkul, a member of team FlyNetics.

One of the most talked-about competitions was the "AI in Creativity" challenge, which required no coding skills and was open to the general public. The winner was SuperNova—students of the Tomorrow School, an AI-focused educational initiative by Astana Hub. Their project demonstrated how cutting-edge AI tools can fuel creative and unconventional solutions.

Finalist projects spanned a wide range of fields—from drone technologies and transaction analysis to mobile gaming and AI services in the creative industries.

“We’re grateful to the organizers and Mastercard for the engaging case. My teammate and I work as data engineers in the B2C sector, so it was especially rewarding to tackle a problem aligned with our expertise. This hackathon stood out above the rest: well-structured datasets, great organization, and helpful Q&A sessions. Thanks for the incredible experience and inspiration,” shared Temirlan Tursynbekov, a member of team TYM.

The hackathon was organized by Astana Hub and the Blockchain and AI Technology Center, with support from the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was hosted on the Decentra platform, where participants registered, received tasks, and engaged with organizers.

Decentrathon 3.0 served not only as a space for collaborative innovation but also as a platform for building an international professional community. The next hackathon is scheduled for September 2025, and for the first time, it will be held offline simultaneously in 20 cities across Kazakhstan.
