DemoDay of regional incubation

DemoDay of the regional early-stage startup incubation program, a program that Astana Hub launched last October in 14 regions of Kazakhstan to help local startups develop projects and strengthen the activities of technoparks and communities of IT professionals and technology entrepreneurs in each region of the country, was held today in an online format.

Astana Hub supported technology parks and gas pedals in the regions of Kazakhstan to develop educational and business programs in the form of financial assistance, finding the first pool of startups, intellectual and consulting support from Astana Hub staff. The program participants received the status of official Astana Hub partner and PR support

At the Demo Day the participants-startups from different regions presented the results of their participation in the program. For example, Aida Kalieva from Karaganda presented a startup "BY MOVIE" - an application for learning foreign languages with the help of films. And Temirlan Berkinbaev from Almaty demonstrated the startup VOCA, a unified platform for travelers. Several participants create useful solutions for large enterprises. For example, Daulet Berikbay from Aktau presented the «CORPCARE» employee health monitoring system, and the founders of «Technocad» startup, use quadcopters in engineering surveys - they simplify and speed up the process of customers' work.

VOLNA, a startup whose team is from Kostanay, is a software system for monitoring, controlling and managing heat and water supply systems. The founders have already helped save 15 million tenge for their customers. Many noted the startup BOLIS (Shymkent), through which people can buy unsold food and products at a discount. Establishments sell unsold food at a discount, and people book online and pick it up. This approach solves the environmental problem by reducing bio-waste.

Special mention should be made of the work in Karaganda - there was not only an incubation program, but also an acceleration program for startups. As the director of "Terricon Valley" Alexander Doroshenko said, 359 applications have been submitted, 50 of which have successfully graduated, and some projects have exported their services.

In total, more than 250 startups participated in the startup incubation program in the regions of Kazakhstan.
