Record number of agreements signed at the Digital Bridge 2022 Forum

Within two days, state agencies, large companies, international technoparks, and other organizations signed 29 memorandums and agreements on cooperation in developing IT innovations. In particular, the international tech park of IT startups Astana Hub signed 11 memorandums, including an agreement between technoparks of Turkic countries. As a result, Kazakhstan will be able to attract international tech companies to mass-train IT personnel.

"Just two years ago, the global IT market needed 30 million specialists. Today, the need is already 100 million, and by 2025 it will increase to 200 million. Obviously, over time, this figure will only increase. Therefore, the demand for professionals in this field will be enormous. We understand this challenge very well, so we set the task to train at least 100 thousand highly qualified IT specialists by 2025," said the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his speech at the Digital Bridge Forum.

In order to achieve the indicators stated by the Head of State on the training of IT staff, the International Technopark of IT startups Astana Hub signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the world's IT companies.

"Now, our technopark is actively involved in programs aimed at the development of human capital in the IT-sphere, including financing training courses for individuals in the field of IT, stimulating the development of personnel and educational institutions with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. As a result, the memorandums with IT companies EPAM and New Age are a valid continuation of our mission and will provide a new impetus to developing our country's IT-sphere," stated Magzhan Madiev, CEO of Astana Hab.

Additionally, within the framework of Digital Bridge 2022, International Technopark Astana Hub signed a memorandum with the technoparks of the Turkic countries on the development of the OTS member states innovation ecosystems and with Technology Hub India on cooperation in the development of the two countries IT-ecosystem.

"We at Technology Hub India have a strong methodological base that can be useful to Kazakhstan. We are happy to share our insights and experience," said Technology Hub India CEO Rao Srinivas.

The Astana Hub and Draper Startup House agreement is based on initiatives such as partners IT ecosystem development, organizing joint events within Astana Hub residence, providing DSH mentors for AH programs, and hosting Astana Hub physical space on the DSH website as partners in Kazakhstan. In addition, memorandums of cooperation were signed with Freedom Finance Bank, TikTok, Glovo, and Kazakhstan universities.
