Higgsfield AI, an artificial intelligence company founded by Kazakhstani engineers, has been named one of the top 25 startups globally by Google.
Four Kazakhstani startups—residents of Astana Hub—have entered the global arena to compete for a $1 million prize in the prestigious reality show Meet the Drapers. This unique competition brings together 44 of the world’s most promising startups, each presenting their innovations to the legendary Draper family of investors.
During a meeting of the Government chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, issues related to expanding exports of IT services and products were discussed. Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev delivered the main report, with additional comments provided by representatives of IT companies: Netcracker Technology’s Technical Director Pavel Gorodov, Higgsfield AI CEO Yerzat Dulat, and Grand Mobile CEO Roman Lineytsev.
The international technology park Astana Hub actively supports the development of fintech companies and innovative solutions in the country. CEO Magzhan Madiyev shared with Euronews how startups gain unique opportunities through acceleration programs, tax incentives, and access to international markets.
Astana Hub has summed up the results of the AI Quest 2.0 educational project dedicated to the study of artificial intelligence (AI). A total of 1,892 participants from all regions of Kazakhstan took part in the quest, and 20 lucky winners, one from each region, received the grand prizes — iPhone 15.
In February 2025, Astana will host the unique program AI Skills Accelerator for Girls, organized by ITU — the leading UN agency for information technologies, and consulting company Ernst & Young (EY). In mid-November, it was announced that Astana Hub resident Hero's Journey had raised $6 million in investments, with a valuation of $30 million. This Kazakhstani startup is developing innovative fitness studios with elements of gamification, which are already operating in Almaty and Astana. Soon, these studios will also open in New York, with the funds raised from investors being directed toward launching the first gym.
