President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella visited the international innovation cluster Astana Hub as part of his official visit to Kazakhstan.
Astana Hub has hosted the finals of the first national AI SANA Generative Nation competition, bringing together school students, university students, startups, and research teams. The event generated strong interest: 335 applications were submitted from across the country, and after expert evaluation, 20 teams reached the finals across four categories: Schoolers, Students, Startups, and Science.
Astana Hub announces the launch of Industrial AI Acceleration 2025, a program for startups and technology companies in the Industry 4.0 sector. The program aims to accelerate the adoption of digital and AI-driven solutions across key industries and create the right conditions to scale successful pilot projects.
Astana Hub has announced a partnership with the TON Foundation, represented by the TON CIS Hub, the regional center for developing the TON Blockchain ecosystem. The partnership will support participants of the AI’preneurs acceleration program, which is aimed at launching and scaling artificial intelligence startups.
From September 26 to October 4, the capital will become a hub for everyone shaping the future of the digital industry. For the first time, as part of Digital Bridge 2025, a series of large-scale events under the banner of AI Week will take place. Media representatives can expect a rich program featuring innovative projects and a unique opportunity to be the first to report on the future of technology.
Kazakhstani IT company TrustExam.ai, a participant of Astana Hub (operating locally under the brand Oqylyq.kz), has announced a strategic partnership with the UK’s Driving Instructors Association (DIA) — a leading international organization in professional driver training and educational solutions.
From October 2 to 4, Astana will host Digital Bridge 2025, the largest technology and AI forum in Central Eurasia. This year, the event will be held in an expanded format: in addition to the three main days, it will feature AI Week – a series of lectures, masterclasses, and discussions organized in partnership with corporations and international organizations. The forum will bring together key players and set a new agenda on how technology is transforming education, the economy, culture, and public governance.
Damir Iskakov is 18 years old. He studied at the Almaty RFMS School and has been passionate about technology since childhood. In high school, he launched his first startup — a platform for selecting educational institutions. The service closed after some time. In March of this year, Damir launched a new product: Vetra AI, an AI-powered assistant that automatically converts messages, files, and voice notes into tasks, meetings, and reminders, synchronizing them with the user’s calendar. Recently, the project received over $200,000 in grants from Google, OpenAI, and Cloudflare.
Digital Business, together with Astana Hub, is launching the project “100 Startup Stories of Central Asia.” It will spotlight startups from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan that have the potential to become future unicorns. The series will feature both IT companies that have already found product–market fit and begun international expansion, as well as young startups with strong prospects. The project will be published in multiple languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, and Tajik.
The startup SHAI has announced a $5 million investment from entrepreneur Ruslan Adilbayev. The company develops intelligent digital solutions that help businesses operate more efficiently. The core brand within its ecosystem is shai.pro.
