Kazakhstanis Found a Way to Use AI to Improve Construction — and Have Already Raised $1 Million

Sanzhar Rakhmetzhanov has been working in industrial engineering for more than 25 years and developing his own technology business. In 2025, together with his son Temirlan Rakhmetzhanov and Nuraly Baktygaliev, he founded Armeta AI. The team is building an AI platform for the design and construction industry and has already attracted $1 million from a US–Qatari fund.

A Woman Founded a Startup That Helps Prevent Electricity Theft. Her Project Is Already Valued at $5 Million

Najima Noeftova is originally from Dushanbe. She did not initially plan to build a career in technology and graduated as a sociologist. However, after finishing university, she started working as an IT recruiter and soon realized she wanted to be inside the tech industry. She joined the Tajik startup zypl.ai, where she progressed from CEO assistant to Director of the Executive Office. Since late 2024, Najima has been developing her own project, epsilon3.ai, which focuses on building predictive models and primarily works with the GovTech sector.

As part of the implementation of the President’s directives on large-scale digitalization, the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan has introduced Alem.Cloud — a platform for submitting applications to use the resources of the national supercomputing cluster. The Alem.Cloud supercomputer is included in the TOP500 ranking of the world’s most powerful systems, where it holds 86th place, confirming its status as the largest computing center in the region.

Alibek Polatov is originally from Shymkent. After finishing school, he enrolled at the Kazakhstan branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, where he studied systems programming. After graduating, he returned to Kazakhstan and almost immediately found himself in entrepreneurship. He first founded a web studio focused on website development, and since 2020 has been launching his own startups. This year, Alibek became CEO and co-founder of shai.pro — a platform that enables the creation of AI agents and digital assistants. The company has already raised $6 million in investment.
