Kazakhstan Presents Its First Country Report on AI Development: Venture Investment in the Sector Grows Fivefold, Exceeding $73 Million

A dynamically developing artificial intelligence startup ecosystem has emerged in Kazakhstan. More than 100 AI startups are currently operating in the country, while the volume of venture investment in AI projects increased more than fivefold between 2023 and 2025 — from approximately $14 million to $73 million. As a result, AI now accounts for more than half of all venture investments in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan-based EdTech startup WeGlobal AI, which focuses on mental health and career guidance for schoolchildren, has taken an important step toward international expansion by participating in the BETT UK international education exhibition with the support of Nazarbayev University. For the team, the event marked a key milestone on the path to entering the UK market and launching a pilot project in British schools, DKNews.kz reports. BETT has been held since 1985 and is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms for educational technologies. Each year, the exhibition brings together more than 35,000 participants and over 600 companies from more than 130 countries, including schools, universities, EdTech startups, investors and representatives of national education systems.
