President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II visited the IT cluster Astana Hub, where they were presented with developments in digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
The program now covers 16 regions of Kazakhstan. For the first time, such a large-scale initiative is available not only in the capital, but also in Kokshetau, Semey, Atyrau, Shymkent, Taraz, Aktau, and many other cities. This means the startup ecosystem is spreading nationwide, creating equal opportunities for talented teams regardless of geography.
The Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is holding a seminar as part of the Dostyk – Digitalization program, which was launched in 2024.
Astana Hub, in partnership with the Akimat of Astana and Astana Innovations, announces the launch of the Astana Innovations Accelerator program. The initiative will bring together startups to develop and implement cutting-edge technologies aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. Participants will work on solutions to the city’s most pressing challenges and test them under real-life conditions.
The Biometric.Vision system has fully automated identity verification for UAPF clients. Now, users only need a smartphone or computer to confirm their identity online—in just a couple of clicks, without visiting an office. The technology combines three core tools: Liveness Detection, which confirms that a real person, not a photo or recording, is in front of the camera; Document Recognition, which reads and validates data from an ID card; and Face2Face Detection, which matches a selfie with the document photo, eliminating the risk of substitution. This provides citizens with a convenient and secure service, while the Fund minimizes fraud risks.
The game, titled Box of Box, is an arcade runner where the player controls a robot collecting loot boxes on a conveyor belt while unlocking new characters with unique abilities. The first version was created during the Tech Orda training program, and now the project is reaching a new level: this year, the team plans to release a demo version on Google Play.
In 2025, 225 startups from 20 countries competed for the chance to enter Silicon Valley. Out of these, 134 projects passed the screening stage, and only 24 made it to the final list. As a result, 10 startups from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were accepted into the AlchemistX program, while another 14 projects, including teams from Qatar, the US, Singapore, Georgia, and Mongolia, joined the Silicon Valley Residency.
Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiev presented the government’s measures to digitalize the railway sector at a Cabinet meeting.
As part of the agreement, a free online course “Solana for Developers” will soon be launched. Registration will be available through the educational LMS platform. The program is suitable even for those without prior blockchain development experience and will allow participants to master the technology from scratch.
Kazakhstani startup pwron.ai, a graduate of the Hero Training program in Silicon Valley, has entered the U.S. market with its first project for developer BI Group. The company will support the launch of residential complexes in Miami and Houston, providing research into consumer expectations and setting up a feedback management system.
