On November 8, Astana Hub will host the opening of the Al Farabi Scale UP program, designed to help Kazakhstan's startups break into the Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern markets.

Even with a limited number of suppliers in Kazakhstan, clinics still face long waits due to calls, consultations, order processing, delivery, and paperwork. zoob.kz founders sought to change this by creating a dental marketplace where ordering supplies takes only a few clicks. Co-founder Madi Agatayev shared with Er10.media how zoob.kz aims to cut business costs, streamline logistics and documentation, and help eliminate counterfeit and unsafe products from the market.
During her visit to Astana Hub, Kunsulu Zakariya, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation, explored the achievements of the tech park’s residents, highlighting the crucial role of biotechnology and innovation in shaping Kazakhstan’s scientific and technological future. She also visited Tomorrow School, a unique institution dedicated to training specialists in artificial intelligence.
Kazakhstanis are receiving free tech training as part of the Tech Orda program, an initiative by the Ministry of Digital Development, reports 24KZ. Interest in the program continues to grow—while 18,000 people applied last year, the number of applicants has doubled this year. Over the three years of the program, more than 6,000 tech specialists have been trained.
From October 28 to 30 in San Francisco, California, Silkroad Innovation Hub organized a Central Eurasia Pavilion at the global conference TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. The pavilion features 24 innovative startups from across Central Eurasia, with 16 projects presented by the technology parks Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan under the unified brand Central Asian Innovation Hubs.
Astana Hub is now accepting applications for the second batch of Tomorrow School, Kazakhstan’s first artificial intelligence school. Applications are open until November 11, 2024. In the first batch, 2,880 applications were received, with 120 applicants advancing to the selection pool —a four-week intensive training designed to identify the best candidates for the main program.

In the next 10-15 years, we can expect large unicorn companies—tech giants valued at over a billion dollars with global market reach—to emerge from Central Eurasia, which includes Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Georgia. This prediction was shared by organizers of the first-ever Central Eurasia at Silicon Valley technology conference.
